Megan has been working with people with disabilities since she was 17 years old. She started out in a volunteer capacity with Southern Sydney Therapy Centre, assisting with after school and holiday activities for young people with disabilities. Megan quickly developed a passion for helping people with disabilities people to achieve their goals and reach their potential.
Since then, Megan has developed a strong career as a disability support worker.
Megan is trained and highly experienced in working with a range of clients, and she enjoys a challenge. In particular, Megan enjoys working with people with complex care needs.
In 2018, Megan completed a Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance to complement her work within the Aged and Disability sector. As a trained and qualified Allied Health Assistant, Megan is now equipped with the necessary skills to be able to assist patients with established therapy programs.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Aged Care and Disability Support Work
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- First Aid and CPR
In the last year Megan has also received refresher training in Manual Handling, Dementia Care, and Understanding Elder Abuse.
